About the event
On November 9, 2024, the Bandera community will come together downtown to honor the brave men and women who have served in the Armed Forces 🇺🇸. Bandera Honors Veterans is more than just a parade—it’s a celebration of gratitude, remembrance, and community pride ❤️💙.
This year, Heritage Oak Rescue was proud to join in the parade with our rescue horses 🐴, beautifully groomed and ready to march alongside floats and flags. Our volunteers and professional riders guided the horses, making it safe and fun for kids to hop on and enjoy a short ride with a chaperone. Seeing the smiles on children’s faces while meeting the horses up close brought a special warmth to the day.
At 12 PM sharp, the Veterans Parade 🎺✨ filled Main Street with cheering neighbors waving red, white, and blue 🇺🇸. Veterans had their own float 🚍, starting from the Courthouse immediately following the morning ceremony.
