Meet Osa
Chocolate Dun Mare
When Osa arrived at the ranch, she was an unhandled 11-year-old who had never known much human interaction. With patience and consistency, she’s blossomed into a sweet, trusting mare who enjoys attention. She’s halter broke, leads, lunges and absolutely loves being brushed.
Osa's recent Vet visit revealed some issues: Glaucoma in both eyes, intermittent locking patellas, minimal sole depth and flat palmar angles in her hooves. She receives eye drops twice a day to relieve the pressure and preserve her vision. Osa received injections and will need to be evaluated further with bodywork and correct biomechanical training that suits her body. She will need hoof boots and the support of pads, on her hind feet especially, to improve her hoof angles.
