The Herd

Meet Our Rescued Horses

Sancho

25+ yr old Bay Gelding

His scars and arthritic joints tell the story of a tough life. He's our smallest horse but also the herd boss. Sancho will teach you to be assertive and fair to earn his respect when handling him.

    Maz

    Grey Arabian Gelding

This sweet boy is everyone's favorite. He is eager to please and sensitive to cues. Maz will teach you to ask quietly and boost your confidence around horses.

      Blackjack

      Arabian Cross Gelding

Young, smart and playful. He can be a challenge to handle. Blackjack will teach you to own your space, be firm with your cues and find calm energy.

        Whiskey

        Ottb Bay Gelding

An ex-racehorse and jumper, Whiskey's body is damaged from hard work. He has underrun heels and hind end issues that don't allow him to move his body correctly for ridden work. He gets his exercise from ground driving and enjoys playing in water.

          Osa

          Chocolate Dun Mare

Osa was an unhandled 11 yr old when she got here. She's sweet as can be, now halter broke, can pick up all 4 feet, and loves to be brushed. We hope she'll be a rideable horse someday.

          Sage

          Rat Tail Appaloosa Mule

Sage is not a rescue. For the time being we are lucky enough to have this well trained and experienced mule in our herd. She brings a calm energy and enjoys connecting with people.
