Heritage Oak Rescue & Rehabilitation is not your average horse rescue. Nestled in the rolling hills of Wimberley, Texas, our rescue is more than a sanctuary — Here the horses have a job. They are used in our lesson program teaching beginners basic horsemanship skills.

We strongly believe the best way to set a horse up for success is by educating their person.

We offer opportunities to volunteer and get involved in our community. There are many personal benefits to working with horses. You will also become part of our horses' healing journey.
